American Bald Eagle
The American Bald Eagle is a large, fierce bird. The Bald Eagle is the national symbol for our country. It generally lives forty-five to fifty years in captivity but it can live twenty-five years in the wild. It stands between 30 to 36 inches tall, and about as high as an office desk. It is one of the largest birds ever seen in the United States.
American Black Bear
The American Black Bear, lack the distinctive shoulder hump that most commonly Grizzly Bears have. This bear can run up to 25 miles per hour, even though its body ways between 250 and 600 pounds. It is usually black but can be brown, cinnamon, beige and a bluish- white. They are commonly found in most of North America.
Coyote
Coyotes live in most of North America, Central America, Alaska, Nova
Scotia, and Panama. They also live in the suburbs of large cities. Coyotes are very intelligent and have a terrific sense of smell that they use to locate their prey. Coyotes weigh from 15 to 44 pounds. Coyotes are about 15 to 20 inches tall. Their fur is grayish tan and they have a long pointed nose and large ears.

European Red Squirreal
The European red squirrel is found in the European Deciduous Forest. It prefers to live in the forest but sometimes they live in gardens and parks. They have strong teeth that are made to open pinecones and seeds. They have four toes on each foot and long, sharp claws to grab bark when they are climbing trees. This squirrel has a long bushy tail that is used to balance its weight while climbing a tree. This squirrel is about 13 to 18 inches long and weigh 350 pounds. It will wave its tail back and forth like a flag to show that it is mad to protect itself.
Duckbill Platypus
The duckbill platypus lives in the deciduous forests of Australia. It is about the size of a house cat and it has a thick covering of hair except for its bill and feet. It has short legs and webbed front feet. The platypus lives along streams and river beds and burrows one entrance underwater and another one above water so that it has two entrances to its burrow. It digs into riverbanks in the soft mud and uses its

Fat Dormouse
The fat dormouse is the largest dormouse in Europe. They are found in Africa, Europe, Asia, and Japan. These little creatures look like short, fat squirrels with bushy tails. They adapt and thrive in many types of woodland but don't do well in evergreen forests. They find shelter in hollow trees, rock crevices, and woodpecker holes. It is about 5 to 8 inches long and its tail is about 4 to 6 inches long. It can weigh from 2.5 to 6 pounds.
