Most Things That Are Needed !
When going on this trip, you must pack layers of clothing. The temperature changes rapidly deciduous forest throughout the day and you will be adding and removing clothes. You will need a rain jacket to protect you from the rain and cold weather elements and a good pair of sneakers. The ground is very uneven in some parts and having a pair of shoes will protect your feet and give you a good footing is great for your safety.
You may also need Flashlights for when it gets dark so you can see .
Batteries - to go in the flashlight but batteries should be rechargeble.
First aid kit - if you or anyone with you gets hurt, you will have extra help.
Pocketknife - To cut through things or to protect yourself
Blankets or sleeping bags - you want to be comfortable if you plan on sleeping out there
Gloves and a scarf - It gets really cold at night and you will DEFINITELY need to be warm.
Bottled water - it is very hot when the sun is hot, so you will need something to cool you down.
Energy bars or raisins and nuts - these will last up to a good month on feeding.
A supply kit with pliers, screwdriver,tape, strings and wires
Paper towel or toilet tissue can be helpful for hygeine needs or to help get a fire rising.
A national forest map - it is important to know your exact location or exactly where you will be located at.
Small hand-held CB radio to keep up with the wather or anything ( Station 9 is most reliable ) .
